On the morning of September 8, 2025, a delegation led by Yang Donglun, Chief Representative of the Chongqing Representative Office of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI), and Yang Hao, Regional Director, visited Leshan Vocational and Technical College. The delegation was warmly received by Cheng Dingbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Zhou Qin, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President, as well as relevant staff from the International Cooperation Office. The two parties held talks in a friendly and harmonious atmosphere and reached consensus on a number of international cooperation topics.
At the meeting, Yang Donglun first introduced the functions and recent work priorities of the Chongqing Representative Office of LNCCI, and expressed a strong willingness to carry out multi-level and wide-ranging international exchanges and cooperation with Leshan Vocational and Technical College. He stated that the representative office is committed to promoting China-Laos economic, trade and educational cooperation, and hopes to take this visit as an opportunity to build a bridge for long-term cooperation between the two sides.
Cheng Dingbin extended a warm welcome to the delegation and gave a detailed introduction to the development history, school-running characteristics and current status of international exchanges of Leshan Vocational and Technical College. He pointed out that the college has always adhered to the concept of open education and actively engaged in international cooperation. At present, it has established good cooperative relations with many foreign educational institutions and achieved certain results. Cheng Dingbin emphasized that the two sides should closely follow the spirit of the "Belt and Road" Initiative proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping, as well as the development requirements of provinces and cities, and jointly explore practical cooperation paths on the basis of mutual benefit and win-win results.
The meeting yielded fruitful results. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on core topics such as the establishment of an international study tour exchange platform, the practice of "vocational education going global", employee training, and international student cultivation, and finally reached a number of consensuses on cooperation directions and promotion paths. In the future, the two sides will take this meeting as a starting point to establish a normalized communication and docking mechanism, steadily promote the implementation and effectiveness of cooperation projects, and inject new impetus into deepening practical cooperation in the field of China-Laos education, serving the construction of the "Belt and Road" and regional coordinated development.
