On the afternoon of May 23, 2019, the graduation ceremony for the 2019 class of Thai exchange teachers and students was held in the 424 conference room of the college's administrative building. In attendance were Jian Lu, Secretary of the College Party Committee, Liu Zhong, President of the College, Chen Zhihai, Deputy Party Secretary, as well as heads and relevant staff members of various departments and faculties. The ceremony was presided over by Huang Xiaoli, Director of the Party (College) Office and International Cooperation Office.
At the ceremony, Secretary Jian Lu extended congratulations from the college to the Thai exchange teachers and students on their successful graduation. He hoped that the Thai teachers and students, upon returning to their homeland, would keep in mind the earnest instructions of Princess Sirindhorn and continue to pursue academic excellence and professional advancement. He also encouraged them to serve as ambassadors of Sino-Thai friendship and to continue fostering the bond between the two countries.
Deputy Secretary Chen Zhihai read out the list of graduates, and Jian Lu and Liu Zhong presented graduation certificates to exchange teacher Pan Le Peng and the five exchange students.
Pan Le Peng, the exchange teacher from the Royal Jiradit School of Thailand, and Wang Su Da, a representative of the Thai exchange students, delivered speeches in Chinese. Both expressed that their exchange experience at Leshan Vocational and Technical College was fulfilling and unforgettable. They thanked the college leaders and teachers for their guidance and care, and highlighted the Chinese language and cultural knowledge they had acquired, the improvement in their professional skills, and the friendships they had formed with Chinese friends.
A video showcasing the learning and life of the 2019 Thai exchange teachers and students at the college was also played during the ceremony.
The five exchange students who graduated this time are from the Royal Jiradit School and Prachinburi Vocational College in Thailand. They spent a year studying in the Tourism Management Department, School of Finance and Management, and Department of Electronic Information Engineering.
