​Delegation from Angkor Star International School in Siem Reap, Cambodia, Visits the College

At 10 a.m. on September 6, 2018, a delegation from Angkor Star International School in Siem Reap, Cambodia, led by Executive Vice Principal Huang Fengcai, visited the college to discuss cooperative education projects. The visit was facilitated by Deng Gang, Director of the Project Department of the Leshan Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The exchange meeting was held in the college's 424 conference room. Attending the meeting were Chen Zhihai, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee, heads of the International Cooperation Office, Human Resources Office, and Planning and Finance Office, and relevant staff members. The meeting was chaired by Huang Xiaoli, Director of the Party (College) Office and International Cooperation Office.


During the meeting, Huang Fengcai introduced the basic situation of Angkor Star International School. Located in Siem Reap, the school is a private elite institution with a good reputation in Cambodia, offering trilingual education in Chinese, English, and Khmer for kindergarten, primary, and secondary students. The school is also planning to apply for the establishment of a vocational and technical university in Cambodia. In the discussion, Principal Huang expressed a strong desire to cooperate with Leshan Vocational and Technical College to develop vocational education in Cambodia.


Chen Zhihai extended a warm welcome to the guests on behalf of the college and provided a detailed introduction to the college's international cooperation and exchange, as well as its international student education programs. He emphasized that the foundation of national relations lies in people-to-people bonds. He stated that the college is willing to provide support in vocational courses, vocational standards, and professional faculty to strengthen cultural exchanges with Cambodia, recruit and cultivate Cambodian students, and explore cooperation possibilities in tourism, healthcare, and distance education.


Both sides also exchanged views on the education situation in Cambodia, talent demand, and cooperation models. Finally, they reached a consensus on signing a memorandum of cooperation.
