Time:2015-07-24

From June 27th to July 10th, 2015, Secretary Jie Lu of our college was invited to participate in the "Overseas Training Program for Leaders of Vocational Colleges" organized by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education. The program was aimed at training leaders of vocational colleges and was conducted in Switzerland.

During the 14-day training period, Secretary Jie Lu, along with other participants, systematically studied and researched the vocational education system in Switzerland. The training curriculum included topics such as the Swiss political and economic system, education and vocational education systems, management and strategic operations of universities of applied sciences, national vocational education and training strategies, national competitiveness and the role of vocational education in it, the relationship between industry associations and enterprises with vocational education, and the roles of the federal and state governments in vocational education. The training focused particularly on the "dual system" and "apprenticeship system" in Switzerland's vocational education.

In addition to the classroom learning, the training group also conducted field visits to the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training, basic vocational schools, higher vocational education institutions, universities of applied sciences, industry associations, and enterprises to gain practical insights into the Swiss vocational education system.

Secretary Jie Lu found the overseas training to be highly informative and beneficial. He was particularly impressed by the Swiss "apprenticeship system" in vocational education. He stated that the Swiss model offers significant inspiration for innovating our college's talent cultivation model and deepening school-enterprise cooperation. He emphasized that in the future, the college should be bold in exploring new talent cultivation models and fully leverage the leading role of industries and enterprises in professional development and talent training.
