From June 11 to 13, 2025, the EducationPlus 2025 (Sichuan) International Vocational Education Conference and Industry-Education Integration Expo, themed "Developing New Productive Forces, Empowering Educational Internationalization," was held at Chengdu Western International Expo City. Cheng Dingbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Zhou Qin, Vice President, and relevant personnel from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office and the School of New Energy Engineering and Materials attended the event.
Guided by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education and hosted by the German Education Industry Association and Messe Stuttgart, the expo aimed to showcase the achievements of Chinese vocational colleges in international educational cooperation and industry-education integration, and strengthen cooperation and exchanges in vocational education between China and other countries.

Shi Jing, Vice Director of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, attended the opening ceremony and delivered an important speech. Speeches were also delivered by Maya Schwiegershausen-Gūth, Labor and Social Affairs Counsellor of the German Embassy in China; Dr. Hans-Joachim Prinz, Chairman of didacta (German Education Industry Association); and Huang Zhengming, Lifetime Honorary President of the China Medical Education Association, Vice President of the International Academy of Ecology and Life Safety, and President of its China Branch.
A series of outcomes of international cooperation and industry-education integration projects were announced at the opening ceremony. On behalf of the college, Cheng Dingbin signed a school-enterprise cooperation agreement with China Smart International Education Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. The college became one of the first members of the "China (Sichuan) - Germany Vocational Education Industry-Education Integration Community" co-initiated by the Sichuan Provincial Education Foreign Exchange Center and Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences (Germany). It also received the honorary plaque as an approved institution for the "First Batch of International Digital Textbook (Tanzania) Project," and the curriculum development team from the School of New Energy Engineering and Materials was awarded the "Outstanding Contribution Award" at the conference.
In addition, the college hosted a parallel forum of the conference entitled "Central Enterprises Empowering: Seminar on Connotative Development of Internationalization Capabilities of Vocational Colleges in the New Era." At the forum, Zhou Qin delivered a keynote report titled "Chasing Light, Following the Chain, Empowering the Silicon Valley, and Building the 'Leshan Vocational' Model for Vocational Education Going Global," sharing the college's experiences and practices in vocational education internationalization and international student enrollment, which was widely praised by the participants.


The expo gathered over 300 educational enterprises and vocational colleges from China, Germany, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and other countries. Our college set up a booth to display its achievements in international education, attracting visits and exchanges from leaders of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, as well as representatives from many colleges, universities, and enterprises.


It is reported that the EducationPlus International Vocational Education Conference and Industry-Education Integration Expo has been held eight times in Nanjing, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Qingdao, Suzhou (Taicang), Changsha, and Wuxi, serving as an important platform for domestic and international vocational education exchanges and integration.
