Ceremony of the First International Students of Our College

On the afternoon of April 21st, 2014, the graduation (completion) ceremony of the first international students of our college was solemnly held in the 3D training room of the Tourism Department. College-level leaders, members of the International Students' Management Office, relevant personnel from the departments where the international students studied, all international students, and representatives of Chinese students attended the ceremony.

The ceremony began with a video titled "Graduation Season," which reviewed the international students' life at school. "Graduation Season" documented the international students' years of study and life at school, as well as their reflections. Both the international students present and the teachers who had worked hard for the international students were deeply moved.

Jie Lu, Secretary of the College Party Committee, delivered a speech at the ceremony, highly praising the international students' studies at our college and expressing the hope that they would contribute to the friendship between China and Laos, and China and Thailand. Teacher Zhang Jian, representing the faculty, tearfully extended sincere blessings to the graduating students as their counselor. International student Zhu Dingzhong expressed gratitude on behalf of all international students for the school's care and cultivation over the years, as well as the help from college leaders and teachers, and presented a commemorative gift to bless the alma mater. Professor Shi Liangjun from the Nursing Department capped the 5 graduating (completing) students and led them in reciting the Nightingale Pledge, hoping that the future angels in white would save lives and help the injured no matter where they are.

Dean Xue Jianping delivered an enthusiastic speech at the ceremony, congratulating the graduating (completing) international students, summarizing the college's work in enrolling international students, and expressing high expectations for the international students' work. He also presented certificates to the 16 graduating (completing) students.

Finally, the international students from Laos and Thailand expressed their deep affection for their alma mater through song and dance.
