Twenty Teachers from Our College Successfully Complete Vocational Education Training in Germany

Time:2017-09-11

On the morning of September 9, the 20 teachers from our college who participated in the training program in Germany titled "Application of Information Technology and Action-Oriented Teaching Methods in German 'Modern Apprenticeship' Vocational Education" returned to the college smoothly after successfully completing the 21-day training mission. From August 21 to September 8, local time in Germany, the training program was filled with intensive, fulfilling, and diverse activities, including learning, exchanges, visits, and discussions. The training mainly included course study, specialized exchanges, visits to schools and enterprises, and internal discussions. The course content covered an overview of Germany's dual-system vocational education, education processes oriented by action practice, technical curriculum design in the modern apprenticeship vocational education system, faculty team building in vocational colleges, and the concept of Germany's "trainer of trainers" program.

The teachers visited more than ten schools, institutions, and industry associations, including the Berlin HVAC Association Training Center, Berlin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Berlin OSZ TIEM Academy, and the Frankfurt-Wiesbaden Handicraft Association. Everyone highly valued this training opportunity, approached it with questions, tasks, and a sense of urgency and responsibility for the college's development, and meticulously completed all training tasks, achieving fruitful results.

After returning to the college, the participating teachers will closely integrate their professional backgrounds to form written learning summaries around the construction and development of apprenticeship programs, faculty team building, cross-disciplinary integration, and the contribution of vocational education to local areas. These summaries will provide guidance and reference for the college's relevant work.

Organizing teacher training in Germany is one of the important measures for the college to build a high-level faculty team and an inevitable requirement for the college to implement its internationalization strategy. The aim is to learn from Germany's advanced vocational education concepts to further broaden the international vision of the college's teachers, enhance their professional quality and comprehensive abilities, and deepen the college's exploration in the field of "modern apprenticeship reform."
