​President Liu Zhong Attends the 21st Asian Technology Conference in Mathematics in Thailand

At the invitation of the organizing committee of the "Asian Technology Conference in Mathematics," Professor Liu Zhong, President of our college, attended the 21st "Asian Technology Conference in Mathematics" in Thailand from December 14 to December 18, 2016.


This year's conference was hosted by Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University in Thailand and organized by the Institute for the Promotion of Science and Technology. The theme of the conference was "Teaching and Learning Mathematics, Science, and Engineering through Technology." Nearly 300 experts and scholars from more than 20 countries and regions, including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, India, Mexico, and Thailand, participated in the conference.


During the conference, Professor Wei-Chi Yang from Radford University in the United States, the founder of the conference, delivered an excellent keynote address. In addition, there were several plenary presentations and over a hundred group reports. The participating experts engaged in extensive discussions on the innovation of teaching methods in primary, secondary, and university mathematics education, as well as the application of modern educational technology in mathematics education.


During this visit, President Liu Zhong served as the co-chair of the International Program Committee (IPC) of the Asian Technology Conference in Mathematics. He presided over multiple sessions, engaged in in-depth discussions with scholars from around the world on the latest developments in the field of mathematics and computer technology, and promoted our college to participants from various countries. During the conference, President Liu met with Professor Wei-Chi Yang, the founder of the Asian Technology Conference in Mathematics, to discuss and determine the theme and host institution for the 22nd conference next year. He also held talks with the organizers of this year's conference, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, to explore future cooperation opportunities.


This visit further enhanced the international visibility and influence of our college, which is conducive to improving the college's level of internationalization and laying a solid foundation for continued in-depth cooperation with overseas universities.
