In order to strengthen the construction of medical and nursing specialties at our college, implement the college's medical and elderly care integration innovation project, and enhance the college's educational capacity and talent cultivation level, a delegation led by Vice President Tang Liu Hong was invited by the Tokunaga Medical and Welfare Group of Japan. The delegation, consisting of four members including Dean Gou Anjing of the Academic Affairs Office, Deputy Director He Dehong of the International Affairs Office, and Director Cheng Tao of the Nursing Department, visited Japan from August 23 to 27, 2016.
The college delegation successively visited the Japan Medical University, Tokunaga Medical and Welfare Village, Social Medical Corporation Yuseikai Midorigaoka Hospital, Midorigaoka Association, and the Social Welfare Corporation Koseikai, among other educational and elderly care and medical institutions. They engaged in in-depth exchanges and studies on the Japanese elderly care and nursing talent cultivation models, nursing talent training objectives and evaluation systems, and the cooperative operation models between Japanese elderly care institutions and educational institutions. Both parties explored the feasibility of cooperation in medical and elderly care education projects and successfully achieved the expected goals of the visit, signing memoranda of discussion and other documents.
The school-to-school and school-to-enterprise cooperation relationships established between the college and institutions such as the Japan Medical University and the Tokunaga Medical and Welfare Group through this visit will promote the reform and innovation of talent cultivation models in medical, nursing, and elderly care-related specialties at the college. It is conducive to exploring and establishing advanced elderly care and nursing talent cultivation standards that meet the needs of social industry development. This will further promote the healthy development of vocational and technical education at our college and also create new channels and platforms for students to study and work in Japan.
