AMDA China Regional Director Yamada Tatsu visits our college

On the morning of March 13th, Mr. Yamada Tatsu, the China Regional Director of the Asian Medical Doctors Association (AMDA), visited our college accompanied by Mr. Mo Chunhai, Secretary-General of the Sichuan Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and Mr. Wang Yi, Deputy Director of the Leshan Foreign Affairs and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office. In the conference room on the third floor of the college, a friendly exchange and symposium were held between the college and Mr. Yamada Tatsu's delegation on issues related to the training and employment of nursing personnel between China and Japan. Attending the symposium were Dean Xue Jianping, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee and Discipline Inspection Secretary Chen Zhihai, as well as heads and relevant staff from the International Affairs Office, Nursing Department, Pharmacy Department, and Haitian Company of the college.

During the meeting, Dean Xue Jianping welcomed the Japanese guests and introduced the college's academic programs, school-enterprise cooperation, and overall international exchange situation. He expressed the hope that through the Asian Medical Doctors Association, extensive connections could be established with Japanese educational and medical institutions to further strengthen faculty and student exchanges, cultural exchanges, and cooperative education between the college and Japan, and to make a positive contribution to promoting friendly exchanges between China and Japan.

Mr. Yamada Tatsu showed great interest in the college's nursing students' research and employment projects in Japan and stated that he would do his utmost to provide support in terms of Japanese faculty and curriculum for the development of these projects, in order to achieve better results in Sino-Japanese cooperation and exchange.

In addition, both parties also exchanged views on issues related to elderly health care and rehabilitation, and explored ways to further strengthen cooperation. After the meeting, a memorandum of the symposium was signed. Both sides expressed their willingness to work together and make joint efforts to actively promote the establishment of channels for our college's nursing students to receive training, conduct research, and find employment in Japan, and to promote cooperation and exchange in the field of medical care between China and Japan.
