On January 25, 2024, a social practice activity titled "Environmental and Ecological Action: Green Capacity in Leshan—International Students' 'Perceiving China' National Conditions Education" was held at China Everbright Environmental (Leshan) Company. The event was organized by Leshan Vocational and Technical College and hosted by China Everbright Environmental Energy (Leshan) Co., Ltd. and China Everbright Environmental Catering Waste Treatment (Leshan) Co., Ltd. Twenty-six international students from Tajikistan, Bangladesh, and Indonesia at Leshan Vocational and Technical College participated in the activity.

The social practice was themed on "Ecological and Environmental Protection: Youth Take the Lead" and called for a harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. It organized international students from the Belt and Road countries to visit the waste-to-energy plant, crane room, central control room, and catering waste treatment plant of China Everbright Environmental Energy (Leshan) Co., Ltd. and China Everbright Environmental Catering Waste Treatment (Leshan) Co., Ltd.

During the visit, company staff provided detailed introductions to the international students about the corporate culture, waste treatment processes for household and kitchen waste, and how to turn waste into valuable resources. Through this activity, the international students experienced the application of modern technology in the construction of ecological civilization and appreciated the harmonious development of technology and environmental protection.

This activity allowed international students from our university to closely feel the efforts made by Leshan in ecological and environmental protection. They gained a deep understanding of the development of modern Chinese technology in the field of ecological civilization construction. They also gained a profound understanding of China's current development, its green development philosophy, and innovation-driven strategy. This enhanced their knowledge of Chinese scientific research, "Made in China," and the connotations of the Belt and Road Initiative. It is conducive to promoting communication and exchanges between international students and all sectors of Chinese society, cultivating their understanding and friendship towards China, and encouraging them to tell China's stories to the world.
