Thai delegation from Bashu province visits the school

At the invitation of the Leshan Municipal Government, a delegation led by Mr. Sinnasone Oyom, Deputy Governor of Prachin Buri Province in Thailand, visited Leshan on November 20th.** In the afternoon of the 20th, accompanied by Ms. Chen Yingli, Deputy Director of the Leshan Municipal Bureau of Economic Cooperation and Foreign Affairs, the delegation visited Leshan Vocational and Technical College. Vice President Zhou Qin of the college warmly received Mr. Sinnasone Oyom and his delegation and accompanied them on a tour of the campus.

 

The Thai guests showed great interest in observing the martial arts class demonstration by international students at the Qingjiang Martial Arts Base of the college. They also learned about the historical evolution and intangible cultural heritage of Leshan at the Jiazhou Memory Local Conditions Museum. At the Collaborative Innovation Center for Intelligent Manufacturing, the Industrial Robot System Integration Training Center, the Photovoltaic New Energy Virtual Simulation Training Center, and the Medical Training Center, the Thai guests gained an in-depth understanding of the college’s vocational education through student training sessions.


 

During the visit, Vice President Zhou Qin introduced the basic situation of the college to the guests and reviewed the educational cooperation between the college and Prachin Buri Province. She expressed the hope that both sides would continue to deepen their cooperation and further promote vocational education cooperation on the basis of their sister-city relationship. Mr. Sinnasone Oyom introduced the Prachin Buri Provincial Government’s and people’s emphasis on vocational education, reviewed the sister-city construction between Prachin Buri and Leshan, and described the history of student exchange programs between Prachin Buri and Leshan Vocational and Technical College. He hoped that Leshan Vocational and Technical College would expand its vocational education cooperation with Prachin Buri and provide support in agricultural vocational education. He stated that upon returning to Thailand, he would actively promote Leshan and look forward to close exchanges and lasting friendship between China and Thailand.


Relevant leaders from the International Cooperation Office, the Olympic School, the Library, the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, the School of New Energy Engineering, the School of Clinical Medicine, and the School of Nursing participated in the above-mentioned activities.
